CODE 45--burning rich
the car first began to idle weird, it would be okay, then as it warmed up slightly the idle would drop and pick up by itself, then i got the TPS code from the ecm, As per haynes manual I replaced the TPS and adjusted it according to the specs on the tech section of this site, I also replaced the IAC valve just to be on the safe side, the car idles fine now, but now i'm getting this code 45 rich fuel code....should i replace the oxygen sensor(s) manual also says something about bad injector, the car does have a strong smell of gas under the hood, and lastly for extra credit, could anyone tell me why it sounds like someone threw a plastic ball inside my dashboard when my car first starts up, its like vvvvvvvvvroooom, thud (inside the dash)........any help would be greatly appreciated

jeez guy this thread has been gone for 5 months if you were still having a problem you should have brought it back to the top...
no one knows... plastic ball? could be anything should you replace the o2 sensor ... do you want to? there are like 6 things that could make that 02 sensor look bad but you havent ruled out any of them for us so telling you to do something that might not work makes us look stupid if it doesnt work. when we really werent given enough info...

It was awesome!!! I went and got like Two manuals for the Trans Am, One for general automotive electronics, one for Fuel Injection, and another one for Computer Diagnostics......I learned a lot over the course of these past months, then I got to work and replaced a lot of stuff which I hadn't checked, there was like a billion things wrong with my car....but now i'm really comfortable working on it....and that thump, was a broken vacuum line inside the dash, when the heater was left on, the vacuum would cause the line to move and tap the inside rear of the dash, haven't really fixed that because i haven't really found the time...the problem with my car was that almost everything was wrong with it.
I posted the thank you, not in a sarcastic way, but in an attempt to recognize those who assisted me on this site as i was working on bringing my TA back to life, taking a retrospective look, i see that the post was vague at best....
