please help me my car is acting up.
please help guys. It all happen tonight I just droped my girlfriend of i was driving home and my car just switched gears from 2 to 3 and i was driving in low rpms and when i was in low rpms my car started shakeing very hard. So I let of the gas and came to a stop. when i was at a stop the car was ideling very rough and making a ticking or nocking noise. I think it sounds from under the car. now my car has a very rough idel when in drive and the engine sound very different. please help this is my daily driver

first check your vacum lines. my wife's car did the same thing. transmission was acting up and the engine was running eratically. turned out to be a vacum line on the intake manifold. sure sounds similar to your problem.

thank you for your respones. I will be checking them soon. does anyone else have anything to say about this or any other things I should look for. i need it to be up and running again ASAP. thanks

is it rough only when in idle? or is it constant?
if its a constant knocking tinking sound, u might have a knock.. worst thing ever could happen.
but like he said, vacuum lines, clogged fuel filter etcs can also cause very rough ride too.. so lets hope u dont have a knock..
if its only in idle, then along with vacuum I'd check idle air control valve etcetc..
