LO3 to carb swap help
i know there is a thread somwhere, but i cant seem to find it.well anyways,i wanna change out my TBI'd 305 with a edelbrock intake of some sort, havnt came up with 1 yet,nor a carb,i need some input to what cfm carb i should get for her.its a open exhaust(but dont tell anybody) with a open element airfilter a aluminum radiator and a 160 t-stat.i was wondering what kind of work i would have to do to use with the fuel injected heads and what not.also what kind of power would i expect to see with a edelbrock RPM intake and a 500 cfm carb? any,or would it not be worth spending the money,i plan on using the intake on my 383 and the carb is a freeby from a friend. any help would be greatly appreciated, also, could you link the thread about the FI to carb swap here so we have somthing to go by?
Thanks
Anthony

Are you sure u want a carb?
You could just buy a intake and a TBI Adaptor plate and ud be
As far as the heads There is no Differance running FI or carb, Just i know Lo3's had pretty bad heads

quite right, but the 383 isnt gonna have a computer, its getting to be bad weather around here and the s10 blazer is coming out.so ima need to work on the car.i wanna start eleminating the computer,unlesss......could i run the 78 4 bolt main 350 block with the FI stuff? i know i would lose a lot of power that way,but with some head work done and a 454 tbi couldnt i still have decent gas mileage with a good amount of power?the 350 is gonna be bored .30 over with a 3.750 crank (383). dont i have to like egg shape the intake center bolts or somthing like that?
