Inline pump or original 91 camaro

Ok my fuel pump is bad and ive read through most of the fuel pump discussions. So would it be better just to put an inline fuel pump instead of a> going the cutting route or b> dropping the tank?? All help would be great and any comments (bad or good) are greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

an inline pump would still have to pump through the dead pump in the tank, so I don't think that's a solution.

Dropping the tank isn't as bad as people say, it's not "hard" as much as it is time consuming. There isn't a lot of "how on earth do I reach that???", it's just tedious removing SO MUCH STUFF to get to the tank.

Take a nice weekend, case of beer, and a few friends, and you're set.
