engine from GM
does GM sell reconditioned engines or do trade ins for them? cause i want to get a new L98 for my iroc

They do. Factory remanufactured, they're typically called.
You might also want to check these guys out 1987-1992 CHEVY 350 / 5.7 ENGINE - CHEVY ENGINES 87-92 . My brother got that engine from them for his C1500 2 years ago, and is very happy with it.
