Just got a '98 L31, need advice

Alright I just swapped a motor at work in a 98 suburban. L31 vortec. I get to keep the core. anyway what do u guys think would be the best budget setup. I will be switching from TBI to carb. The motor has a knock in it, no biggie, I'm gonna have the bottom end redone anyway. My main question is, if I put the same .435/.460 cam from the 330HO Crate motor, will I make the 330 horse+/-??? are there any other differences between the 2 engines????
Also, it will more than likely use an air-gap intake, with the 350HO Demon carb that barry grant makes. Suggestions?

i'd put in a XE274 cam if you can, have the heads redone for more lift and use a 750 double pumper holley and the air-gap intake

Put a hydraulic roller cam in it. Why go backwards.

This is directed toward a TBI swap, but will really work with any L31 build-up.

Leigh, I guess I should have been a little more specific I'll be using a roller cam since its all set up for it, just similar lift numbers. I may go with having the heads machined when I sent them to the shop, just depends on the price, I'm just looking for roughly numbers close to the 350HO or ZZ4. If I decide to have the heads machined, I'd probably just go with the Hotcam and some 1.6 rockers. Car Craft made excellent power out of the crate motor with that. Something like 412hp and 430 tq??? and Leigh, I'm intrigued about your setup, how did you go about putting LT1 heads o your motor?
