upper & lower rad hoses sucking shut on new engine
New engine new ...everything. Car runs great , no coolant loss , no milky oil . But the upper and lower rad hoses suck shut. Only thing I can think of is that I got the wrong water pump in the right box. She does run hot too.
I tryed burping it ..... collant flowed over the passenger fender in a big arc ....not letting up. Heater core is clogged. Just to get it to storage I took the T-stat out .
I appreciate the help

Isn't that why they use to stick them steel springs inside the rad hoses?
Use to come that way on chevy V8s. My old 80 Camaro had them.
Think my 68 Galaxy did too.
Could get trick and use pieces of steel pipe for rad hoses like turbo plumbing. Just use short section of rubber to connect. Use band clamps or fat reg hose clamps. My top rad hose on my V8 wagon is mostly a piece of gal fence post that I flared the ends some with a ballpien hammer. I didn't want to spend $20 on a new top hose and got creative. As I had use a section of it to fix my sink. Stupid slip fitting pvc plumbing never works for me.
Ok here is a pic before someone ask.
