code 34, whats up?

my car has been throwing code 34 (MAF) since i got it 6 months ago. but the wierd part is it dosent throw the code all the time, just every once in a while. when the SES light does come on the car will feel like a stick shift car when you let off the gas while in gear. any ideas?

Check/clean all the connectors including the pins on the maf connector and at the Maf relays.
On my maf connector I had a pin that would slid up into the connector when connecting to the maf. When disconnected from the maf, the pin would slid back into position and look normal. That one took me weeks to figure out.
