Depending on the model/year.. It should be
located on the passenger side of the block..
You should have a aluminum accesory bracket
that holds both the smog pump and the a/c..
The smog pump goes on the very bottom bracket.

The diverter valve installs right to the back of the smog pump where you can route for EGR for the exhaust.

I should mention that I had some F-bodys
of earlier models have a different accesory
set-ups .. and I cant remember what the
setup was.

on my car i have some brackets on the DS of the car, that i dunno what goes there. i found where the smog pump bolts to, but i dont have any brackets forthe a/c. im not real worried beings its winter time, and the car will be becoming a full out drag car in time. but i need the car to run properly w/o the check engine light, and to pass inspection. where do i bolt the bracket for the smog pumps intake tube at?

Yea, I had a feeling you had the older belt/accessory
set-up. I wish I still had my 1987 LG4 car, It too had the
driverside bracketry, but the car is long gone.

I cant remember for the life of me how the system was
set-up tho.. Hopefully someone will chime in

Good luck
