Fuel filter
I went to go replace the fuel filter and soaked the fittings in penetrating oil and went to go remove it, and completely rounded the fittings on the lines. so now both fittings on the steel lines are rounded. can sombody give me advice on how to get the filter off and then further more how to get it set up to put on the new fuel filter. I proally should have mentioned i have an 89 RS.

cut the lines and get 2 sending unit repair kits. Autozone has them for $13 each. They will have a new fitting and tube. You will have to get some connectors to connect the tubing to your stock line then just screw in the new filter.

I'd use a pipe wrench first. Use a line wrench on the filter (where it's not rounded right?), and a pipe wrench on the line nut. Try to loosen it off first, before you cut it off.
And if you cut it off, don't use an angle grinder (that's what I reach for to cut metal) 'cuz you'll start a fire and burn the crap out of yourself. A tubing cutter would work ok.
