1.6 rockers, or 1.7's? LT1

Gunna buy a set of roller rockers for my LT1. I have ported heads, headers, pcmforless chip tune, stock cam, stock valve train for now.... lt1 is in a 4x4 truck. anyways, Ive seen the 1.6 self aligning rockers, and that would up the lift on the stock cam to about .477 intake, and .489 on the exhaust, ive read that .490 is about tops for stock springs. Should i get a set? Then i was thinking that if i was to buy springs as well maybe ill get a set of 1.7's? So the question is, can i use 1.7's if i get the right valve springs on this motor? THanks!

$50 for factory LT4 springs, retainers, and titanium caps. Good to 0.525" lifts at a minmum. Seems like an easy choice - Was for me. Then you can go with whatever cam you want, or rocker combination. The stock rockers really aren't up to the task, and aluminum rockers have less long-term durability. Ideally, the Comp 1417s would be a good choice.
