bye bye smog pump hi flow cat?
From what i got from some of these threads is that u might be abvle to get rid of ur smog pump, well hollow it out at least. Also u can get the delete pully and just buy a 2 way hi flow cat then that should pass emissions. The cat does not need air from the pump anyways if it doesn't have the air inlet tube comming off of it. Basically the smog pump would be usless and the cat will be as of effective is what i get off reading old threads. I'm not to sure tho anyone have any input
Most (not all) cats come with an air tube on them, but it can be blocked off if you don't want to use it.
You can remove the smog pump and all associated lines completely if you like with a different length belt and slightly altered belt routing. See the tech articles section of this board for a how-to.

i knew i could do it i just wanted to know how bad it would be for emissions if i do cause the junk yard wants 75 bucks for a smog pump that will probably just seize up like my old one in a month. Plus i burned out my cat cause my pump wasn't hooked up so i gotta get a new cat anyways so i wanted to get a cat that wouldn't need the air flow and still be good on emissions.
