305TPI power adds
Hey guys,
Was thinking of going over to a 350, but now think I'll stick with my 305. I don't need a racecar, just a fast street toy. Besides the mods I have listed below, what else should I do to get more grunt. Whats the best bang for the buck? Read a lot of stuff and I know headers and afr, but can I run an afr with stock 305 injectors. Haven't fooled with the timing yet either. I had te ACCEL ICM on it, but it lasted all of 3 mos. Was told by the accel guys that that do not play well with the MSD stuff. I could tell a difference with this on the car especially above 4200rpm. I'm just curious how I can get more power and not go broke, married with two kids.

Do a search on the TPI and TBI boards. You will find tons and tons of information. I'd help you out but i'd simply be re-typing stuff what we have volumes of around here already. There are a few 305ers out there making 300hp or more. and running deep into the 13s with out nitrous or blower. It is actually pretty easy to do. You can look at my sig for suggestions as well or do a search for my screen name too. I am not the 305 expert, but I have participated in many of the 305 discussions,so if you search for my name it may narrow your results a bit.

Headers and a y pipe and full 3 inch exhaust should be the FIRST thing you do. Now go hit the TPI boards
