help with g/f's Z24

Yes, I do own a camaro lol.

But i need some help here, and theoretically its the same engine. Its a 1993 Z24 with a 3.1l V6 MPFI, automatic. It ran like a champ until the central hub had stripped out about a month ago due to previous owners "nuetral bombing" technique. We recently replaced the transmission, intake plenum gaskets, and ran all new hoses to and from the radiator and fuel system. We got it to run for the first time today. It is missing like crazy, I can't pinpoint which cylinders. We did not touch the sparkplugs or wires as they were not in the way. The car also blows some serious black smoke. We noticed that the steel wire that runs to the EGR valve was crimped where her less intelegent uncle brought the motor down on it I think, But the computer isn't throwing out any error codes.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks!
