1991 Trans Am GTA
I just bought a Trans Am GTA. It has been sitting for exactly a year and just started 2 days ago and driven. The oil pressure was 60 when it first started and ran...but after it got warm. The oil pressure was a little above 30. And at idle it was about 1/4 inch from 30 psi. So I was wondering if anyone had the GTA and could tell me what their oil pressure ran at. Thanks

that sounds bout normal, them stock gauges after awhile get a lil lazy.mine gets like that sometimes, mine reads the other way.400 when cold then drops to bout 275 stays there at idel and when you hit er wide open she climbs a lil higher like 300 or so

Well, it would help a little more if you could tell us the conditions in which it was sitting (and how many miles are on the car), but I personally wouldn't be too concerned.
This last summer, I pulled my GTA out of storage, & with a bit of TLC, drove it on a 100+ mile cruise in the mountains - and it had been sitting (in my garage) for three years!!
Just keep an eye on the oil pressure, and if you ever wonder about the factory gauge being accurate, it's pretty easy to replace it with an aftermarket gauge... (I prefer mechanical gauges myself, but YMMV...)
Good luck!
