Fuel pressure?

What is the correct fuel pressure for a 2.8? I checked mine today on the regulator and when the key is turned its 41, when its idling it drops to 38, is this right? I always thought it should drop to 8?

The numbers you gave are about right for port injection. I have no idea whether 6-cyl motors have that type of setup (since I know essentially nothing whatsoever about them); but if they do, then that's in the ballpark. Sounds like that's probably what you've got.

Numbers like 8 would be typical for a TBI setup.
