Hey guys -
Any harmonic balancer recommendations for the 383 I'm putting in
my '88 GTA ? Brand / model no. - prices?

If you're not going to be holding it over 6000RPM for long periods (ie, no 7000RPM redline, or 6000RPM continuous over a road course), then a non-sfi balancer should be fine.
I used the 8" summit dealie, $59. Has engraved timing marks on it. Rubber ring though, so it "could" slip.
If you want an SFI approved one, a one piece guy, expect price to jump to $200-300.
The fact it's a 383 shouldn't effect the balancer, IIRC.

The fact that it's a 383 means it needs a weighted damper (unless the crank is internally balanced - you know, many$$$$$$$$$'s).
