my motors making a bad noise and i know its gonna go soon, so i need a quick repacment motor(must have everything ready to go, other than t.p.i setup) and ive found this one http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

it has vortec heads, i know edlebrok has an intake thatll go to vortec heads and t.p,i but will the motor work with accseorys, tranny, sensors etc,,,, if not does anyone know of a good crate motor (preferably 350) that does not have a carb bolted to it already, for the f-body t.p.i?

I know i should just rebuold my motor, but it will take to long, and i wont have a warrenty (the old block will be the one i build with the new one in it already)

Motor is basically a direct bolt-in. Only problem I had when swapping a GMPP 350 was the flywheel. The starter wouldnt work with the flywheel but other than that everything bolted up wonderfully.

No, you should not rebuild your 305!

In my (very humble) opinion, this is a TPI Vortec crate engine done right http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/1578...rip-Engine.htm .

I know it costs more than the 330 HO, but it does include the intake base (although you will need other TPI upgrade parts to get the advertised HP). The HO with the Vortec base and stock TPI barely makes as much power as an L98. Of course, if you're okay with that, then go for it.

What flywheel? The engine doesn't come with one. Unless you got the Deluxe HO.
