This is a RS 3.1 V6 that has had this problem but has gotten worse, always cranks and always starts after being started till it gets cold again. When cold cranking smells flooded and sometimes backfires as it starts. Entire distributor and cap, coil, map sensor, anti-knock sensor. plugs and wires have been replaced. No irregular ECM code, says all is fine. I installed a electric heater in the lower radiator hose that helps if the engine stays warm. The dealer has had and can not find the trouble. Is not equipped with a cold start valve so that is not it. Could the fuel pressure regulator be it, a lot of trouble and $500 to remove to find out.
