wat valve springs
should i use with this cam http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku and these heads 14014416? its a stock 305 that when all this is to be done will have a valve job and a new intake/carb

comp 981-16 is the easy answer. They pretty much work for just about everything, fit stock pockets and work with most flat tappet cams, such as your 214/224 summit cam there.

now can i go a little more fancy and maybe do dual springs. if so i mean wats the best way. i am now able to spend a tad more for things like this. how bout the 986-16 comps???

Yes you could do that.
On the other hand, help us understand (starting with yourself) the benefits of doing $300 worth of head work in order to put on $100 springs that are well beyond what your proposed $50 POS cam really needs.
In other words, consider a cam designed within the last 40 years or so, first; before spending other money on overkill that will give you ZERO bang for the buck if you use the olde generic "RV+1" cam.
