I have a '91 Camaro RS with 305 TBI, auto. I have under drive pulley, beefier rocker arms, and moroso 8mm blue max spiral core wires. I want to add an K&N air filter, maybe open element? I just bought an MSD 6A ignition and blaster 2 coil. I was wondering if anybody felt a difference with the similar setup.

I plan on putting in a 350 with a big cam later on. I figured I would start buying stuff to get ready for the 350. Mostly things I can use with my 305 for now. I wanna buy a distributor next, I was looking at the MSD Street Fire, anybody have any experience with that?

Well if anyone has some useful ideas or advice it would be greatly apperciated!!

You proberbly wont see a seat of the pants differance by adding a MSD ignition box. Im not saying to not buy one but if your tight fo rmoney then dont waste it on a MSD box. Also dont waste it on a MSD or aftermarket distributor. I have a MSD pro billet one in my car just because I fel tlike buying it for that little extra. I most likely wasted $300 though. Your stock dist will work fine as long as it is maintained.

Alright thanks for the advice guys. After i've been driving my car for around 30 mins i'll turn it off, and when i go to start it doesn't wanna stay running very well. It will run for a second or two then die. It's usually the 3rd try that works everytime. So maybe the MSD will solve that? Or is it a fuel problem? And my tach doesn't read right, I installed an aftermarket tach and it read the same as the old tach.

adding any MSD product to your car will NOT fix the problem you are having. Your car should run fine without the need for any aftermarket parts. You need to find what is causing your problem beofre youspend money on go fast parts. you need to drop the car off at a mechanic and have them check the car out if you cant find the problem yourself.

Alright thanks for all the help. Sad part is my dad is a mechanic but he hasn't tried looking for the problem. It's really not a big deal, my car has never stranded me. Also I guess ill just hijack my own thread, what about a rear end. Im tired of my 1 tire fire, and I'd like to put some higher gears and possible brakes all around. Any suggestions?
