Sensor Identification help please

Im trying to replace some sensors on my engine during my engine swap.
On one side of the engine, located in about the middle towards the top of the engine is a sensor that i believe is called a temperatur sending unit and on the other side of the engine at about the same location is another sensor that im trying to replace but i dont know what it is called. I brought both sensors to Napa and they gave me one but they dont know what the other one is either.
The one that i think is called the temp sending unit, on the box is part # ts6641. Does anyone know what the other sensor is called? I looked in my service manual but I cant seem to find it.

That's a pretty vague description, but it sounds like you're talking about 2 sensors that go into the heads.

On the driver's side, between the #1 & #3 spark plugs, there's one; it's the temperature gauge sending unit. It works the temp gauge.

On the passenger's side, between the #6 & #8 spark plugs, there's another; that one is the fan switch (turns on the cooling fan at a certain engine temp).

There's a 3rd temp sensor located on the intake manifold somewhere (depending on what induction system you have), which is the one that the computer uses to measure the erngine temp. That one is usually called the coolant temp sensor.

Thank you very much. Sorry about my vague description but you were very helpful, the fan switch is the one i was looking for.
