Cog accessory belt?
I know it isn't "necessary", but I'm curious if there would be any reason not to.
As in this set-up http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...5167&rd=1&rd=1
I don't have PS, emailed them about a 3-pulley only set-up, responded within minutes (7, to be exact).
Good feedback rating, if nothing else. . .

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Can't see why not... except maybe convenient replacement belt availability.
As long as you have the 65-66-67 accessory system with the short water pump, of course.
I didn't know you were into bling for your engine room, though. That's about all that is.

It's a '66 Impala short system.
I'm not into "bling", but I have had problems with stock belts slipping, twisting and tossing. I asked about replacement belts, he offered to include a spare in the deal.

That was the problem when it was worst (the alternator was left loose by the shop that did poly front bushings & alignment - they also left the distributor ground wire off). I didn't actually lose a belt last season. Seemed to have to keep the tension pretty tight to keep it from squawking, though.
This will come somewhere behind a new Snell 2005 helmet (Snell 95 no longer allowed), new slicks for the Camaro, new mufflers for the '57 & Camaro, 2-step rev limiter for the '57, and converting the Camaro to DP SB carb.

I've seen some older pulleys that are worn out pretty bad from belts and time. Sometimes they just need replacing. What you can try first is a rasp or some really rough sandpaper, and take the glaze off the grooves. Rough up the edge of the belt too, but maybe consider replacing it. If you decide to be crazy enough to do that while the engine is running... keep your fingers away from moving parts.

The crank pulley of this system is 5", so it's going to slow down the accessories as well.
