1.6 rocker fitment

Hey guys well i'm getting ready to buy a set of 1.6 roller rockers and putting them on my l03 305 tbi car (have another motor and im aware of how useless some think this is).

Basically i have 1 real question are 1.6 full roller proform rockers going to fit under a stock heighth valve cover?

I currently run a set of gm performance parts ridged chevy logo valve covers chromed and dont want to change them, so i need to know if they are going to fit or not.

I read not too long ago that the only ones that clear the center bolt valve covers are the slim desighn, proform is a wide desighn, they will not clear because of the hallow tube for the bolt, they did not reccomend trimming these ither, you may be on a budget since you are buying these i assume but you may have to buy the more expencive desighn from crane that will clear the valve covers, you get what you pay for, i have friends that had the proforms break, so just take the hit.

yah ive a got a wide range of opinions on proforms i honestly don't know what to beleive, sounds basically like poor quality control to me.

I think they make a narrow design though at least thats what summit says anyways i appreciate the help!

It's funny as i remember a guy running beehive springs on his and a .550 cam and he'd been running them 10k miles with no problems but at the same time i remember guys posting saying theres broke on there stock 305s lol

I've had the GMPP ones on 3 different engines for more than 100K miles. Still no problems from them. The only issue was when I first put them on. The pushrods were rubbing the guide holes in the heads.

I dont think that they will fit properly you will need to get tall valve covers and even when you get those you will probably have to take the heads off and have the push rod hole lengthened to accomodate the higher lift that you will recieve from the 1.6s then in turn after that you would have to have screw in studs and guide plates just to keep your valve train in alignment.
