Is this a good deal?

I really dont know if this is the right forum, but here it goes.

I got my 1989 s15 Gmc truck with a 4.3 liter v6 engine. I got this dude what wants to trade me for a 1986 camaro Rs.

The Rs has a 1989 body kit on it, b&m shifter, 11in tires in back, new dual exhaust, no radio, cracked front widsheild, no rust, PERFECT body (not one flaw), Needs a carb( but still runes and drives) and maybe a tranny rebuild. Still drives good though. Also its a 305 v8 and has new air filter and other misc things. ohh yeah no door panels too.

The s15 truck is a 4.3 liter v6 with new exhaust, new fuel pump, distrubitor, plugs, wires and used to be a work truck. It has rust on the bed (but not crazy big area) Has a radio, and has a couple of small dents It has its problems and good things to it also.

Let me know if this is a good/sweet/bad/even deal, plz thx!

first off, i'm guess its a 1986, not a 1896.. well anyway, i would take it.. you will have to put in at MOST $3000 for the parts needed but thats like getting a damn good car for only the parts you need to replace..

windshield- $250ish (correct me if i'm wrong)
carb- $200 for a decent one
tranny rebuild- this is gonna kill you.. stick or auto?? B&M shifter could be either..
door panels- $150 from classic enterprises..
sound system- whatever you want

well i have NO idea on how much auto rebuilds cost.. i only run a manual.. but i know you can get a decent B&M tranny somewhere around $1700 NEW.. rebuilds probably cost about $700 or so

you need a 700r4 trans, unless you do a conversion to a 350

Here in NY on my 89 it cost $1,000 for a remanufactured tranny installed
(700R-4). The deal sounds good to me.
