Car: 87 trans am WS6

Engine: 305 TPI

Help Me!!!!

I have an 87 trans am and when i first got the car it said 5.0 under the hood. I was lookin earlier and i see writing that said 350-18436572, now im not sure if the engine is a 350 or a 305. i Cant see the block number so can anybody help me out with just those production numbers.

get a flashlight and grab the casting number off the back of the block.

Its the only way to tell exactly what engine is in there...
