Ok, I just installed my Stealthram and now I am debating on removing the smog and a/c just to clean up the engine bay some. I will keep the cats and am adding an Msd 6AL igniton setup so it should still run pretty clean. If I do, do I need to remove the charcoal canister too or can I leave it hooked up? I don't know if the a/c works but even if it does, I will only be able to drive the car occasionally anyway. I have NO smog where I live so that's not a worry. I'm going back and forth with this and want some opinions.

 

IMO that's one of the WORST excuses for hacking on a car and devaluing it, that there is. More cars have been destroyed and rendered worthless by that, than probably any one other "modification".

The MSD will accomplish exactly NOTHING.

I would instead look for productive mods to do, as opposed to things that injure the car or are expensive but worthless.

 

That's one of the reasons I don't want to do it. I don't want to start yanking parts.
