Well i just completely rebuilt my 86 305 TPI with step 3 mods. Just got it together yesterday and set the tps sensor iac sensor and it wont stay running. Starts but spits and sputters and will not run on its own. Fuel Pressure is good Spark is good. All new sensors, compresions is good, what am I doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sounds like a timing issue. Try moving the distributor cap around while starting it. Make your you disconnect the timing advance connect deal on the passenger side firewall.

 

i just sat down from doing that i even checked to make sure it wasnt 180 out im stumped any other ideas?

 

Are you sure your maf is good?what did you set your tps at?vacuum leaks,spark plug gaps,cheap gas,weak spark,etc...check them all again its probally something simple

 

How about valve lash?? Is it set correctly?? and are you using a old coil?
