casting numbers

Quick question, I got my 87lt a few months ago been wrenching on it fixing a bunch of stuff the po jacked up but one thing has been bothering me, the guy told me the engine was not original to the car and that it infact had a 350 in it, well I am getting ready to do a manifild swap and was wondering if there are any casting numbers in the lifter valley that would tell me yay or nay on the 350 story? I am looking forward to finding out if it a roller motor it has the center bolt valve covers so I know its 87 up but thats about all I know.

There are no id numbers in the lifter valley. Look under the valve covers for the head casting number. Look at the rear of the block behind and left of the distributor for the block casting number. Some 305's say "305" back there also some say 350. look the numbers up here www.mortec.com
