engine dies randomly

I'll be driving along and my engine will just die out of nowhere. I can get it restarted in no time, but it just happens randomly. Any ideas?

Millions of ideas.

Spark plug could be getting flooded with fuel
Distributor is getting worn
Ignition faulty

Fuel filter
etc etc.

When is the last time you had a tuneup?

well, i replaced the fuel filter about 5 or so months ago
changed my oil about 150 miles ago with the filter
got my tranny worked on a month and a half ago so the coolant system was flushed and refilled
i took a look at my spark plugs when i changed my oil and they looked good

all of my stuff has been recent

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3.73

A hairline crack in the distubtor cap could cause that or a failing ignition coil.

Start with the ignition system. pull of the cap and take a look at the pickup coil also. See if it is really rusty.
