Car: 1991 Camaro RS
Engine: 305 TBI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: Stock
Exhaust upgrade ?

I have a 91 camaro rs stock with a 305 tbi im looking for a STREET LEGAL exhaust to put on, i live in ny so the state inspection sux here... i could use some recomendations besides flowmaster ... and prices would be helpful also im looking to increse the power of course, but basically without headers.

go with the hooker cat back....ive added mine on, nice low rumble but not obnoxiously loud, nice but not extreme performance increase. i got it 299 at summit, nice quality...extremely easy bolt on install, i would recommend it. if sound is what you are going after, this wouldnt be my top suggestion, although it did get a bit louder after about a week break in period, but its still not obnoxious....hooker catback...go for it

what about the performance part, i heard a big problem with the stock exhaust is that it holds the car back in power because its not as effective as the stock engine is able to be?

Also with the hooker setup theres no welding involved ?

Hooker 2055's. Street legal in 50 states. From there, just about any cat-back has been covered. Find the search function and you should find what you want.

Transmission: 700r4 auto; converting to 6 speed
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt 3:27 posi; 2.73 open
borla makes nice exhaust systems but they are pretty expensive
