No idle??? and Honeycombs
so i turned over my TA today, first time in a few months. after charging
for a few hours i turned the key, it cranked and started. reved up to 2k then died. i started it again with some throttle and it did the same thing but didnt stall, just kept hopping up and down almost stalling. i assume it was from sitting all winter so after a few tries i got it to run/idle. Reved it somemore and it backfired or what sounded like one anyways and died. i was moving on walking back inside and i saw some cat converter honey comb on the ground behind my exhaust. if my cat melted the honeycomb would that cause the pulsing revs at idle?

One concept about cars you need to learn is you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.
If you drive them, they break, if you don't they break faster lol.
A clogged cat can most certainly cause your symptoms. You are choking your car. The engine is trying to move air, from intake through exhaust, if it can't then the engine will not work.
2 things you can do.
1. Gut the cat.
2. Get a new or good used one.
Good luck!
