i just got a rs with a 305 tbi and it wont rev up past say 4000 rpms. When i am driving it from a stop it`s fine till i give it a hare of gas and it falls on it`s face and bogs down. then around thirty if i punch it it stays at a certain rpm and holds there. could be egr, cat converter or air sensor? any help

 

well if you dont have a code i would bet cat or fuel delievery

 

i am hollowing the cat out right now.i`m pretty dang positive it is the cat.Damn i really like having a lift at work. and yea,i think your right

 

well the cat is hollowed, it ran better that night now it`s back to how it was. i don`t get it any more help?

 

well you should check your fuel pressure next... but i like to change the filter first as it is alittle faster than checking fuel pressure but if the filter doesnt work then on to the pressure
