TPI setup on 69' 350 block
My buddy is giving me a 383 stroker motor and I want to keep it "stock" looking with the TPI setup. I was wondering if I will have trouble bolting the manifold to the block since the 69' block didnt have Vortec heads. This was something he brought up and wasnt sure about. Aside from having to get the block drilled to match the TPI manifold angled bolts, would there be anything else I should look at or consider before converting his carb. setup to my TPI fuel injection setup. Anyone recommend anything along the way of parts to complete the conversion?
FYI - im not sure of the specs, cam, etc.

The block does not care what intake manifold you put on it. The manifold does n ot bolt to the block.
"Vortec" has nothing whatsoever to do with TPI. Leave that buzzword out of the picture.
If you're talking about using the HEADS that are on the BLOCK, and they're pre-87 ones, then the correct thing to do about the intake bolt holes, is to modify the INTAKE; not the HEADS. No block modifications of any kind are required. It's all a direct bolt-up. Alternatively, you could possibly consider using your own heads, depending on what you've got.
