GM 400 Crank in a 350 block??
Has anyone ever done this to get those extra cubes? Or would I be better off buying a stroker kit from like Eagle or wherever? I just bought a virgin 350SBC last night for $100, I want to start gettin info on building it now.

Umm, yeah....
That's what we all used to do to make a 383 for all those years before Eagle and Scat and all those people started making aftermarket cranks.
You have to turn the crank mains down to 350 size. If you use stock 400 rods, which have a different bolt arrangement from stock 350 rods, they fit MUCH better; but you're stuck with .... stock 400 rods. Stock 350 pistons are the correct thing.
As far as "better off", I'm a poor judge of that, when it comes to other people's projects. IMO it's inferior to the modern "kits"; but that's JMO.
