383 crate motors???

If you were going to buy a 383 crate motor that had around 300-350hp for around 3-5 grand what would you go with? Simple as that.

Well I picked up the ZZ383 from Summit Racing last year... It was $4800 and I had to get a intake for it and that was it. It is nice engine. I just wanted something that GM built with all new parts to take the guess work out of it. It is rated at 425hp. It has some damn good parts in it.

i too would look first at gm engines. i bought one from summit also, but it is a 350
