car wont start

OK my husband & I are at wits end with our 89 vert.

Its a 305 TBI, last week we were looking at the coil & then it all started.

First it would start then die & idle really rough, We found out that it was the EGR valve we got that fixed. the car ran great, for a day or so. Then a vacuum line came unplugged & it wouldnt run worth chit.

Today it started with the starting & then dying. Then it wouldnt start at all. It would crank but not start. My husband saw that it was throwing a theft type code. He undid the battery & now it will not start.

still cranks but not start.

any ideas?

got it started at least for now, Dont know what other problems we are going to run up against with this car.

IT was the coil going bad on the car, My husband is currently installing a new ind. system in the car.
