Spark Plug Gap
My car is an 85 IROC with a tuned Port Injection motor out of an 88 in it. I have the stock AC Delco plugs for it. Should they be gapped at .035 or .045?

Re: Spark Plug Gap
ok i looked in the book and wow i am wrong
.035 was common later on in the 80s
i alkways assumed al sbc were .045 after 74
hum.
wonder why they wanted 10 thousandths smaller gap with later stuff
wierd,..,.,
1988:
vin code digit F 5.0L 5011 spark hap .035
timing 6* BTDC
fuel pressure 40-47PSI
vin code E 5.0L 5011 spark gap .035 timing 6* BTDC fuel pressure 9-13PSI
vin code 8 5.7L 5733 spark gap .035 timing 6*BTDC fuel pressure 40-47psi
