car is running!!! thanks for all the input.i still have one question.i put in a new distributor 2 months ago because mine looked like it had small cracks in it and it was a little rusty..plus the car was stalling out like i described in my other posts.but after 2 days of running great and not stalling it did it again and then eventually died for good and would not start with no spark like it did when i had to put the new distributor in to get it to start.well i just exchanged that one for a new one and when i installed it the car fired up and has ran great all day.my question is i have had all the modules tested that have came on these distributors and they are fine but the pick up coil gets hot and overheats untill it finally burns out what can cause them to burn out so quickly? could my tach wire cause that? when the car was stalling out the tach would jump to 2500 back to 1000 kinda like it was going nuts thanks for the help
