lg4 build help

ok so i just added headers a comp cam (268 i think id have to look but everyone said it would work with my computer) and a performer intake. i also took off the air conditioning and removed the air pump. i went to drive my car after breaking in hte cam and i noticed the engine light was on, and the car was dead slow, like not stock lg4 slow, slower. it felt like there was no ignition advance on the distributor. i attempted to read the code by grounding the diagnostic port but instead of flashing the light just came on and stayed on. i have no idea were to go from here but some things i do kno are the obvious stuff like: cam is installed right, valve lash is set, carb is rebuilt and all the sensors and soleniods are new, distributor is installed correct with all the wires hooked up, and the computer worked fine before. does anyone have an idea?

Re: lg4 build help

You either jumpered the wrong terminals or your computer is hosed.

Re: lg4 build help

yeah make sure your jumping the two furthest to the passenger side on the top row you should see it blink then display a code 12 3 times then your error code. did you upgrade your valve train with this cam? even even with a mild cam you should get new valvesprings and such. even pinning the studs is i good idea.
