just wondering what kinda power?

i'm doing a little bit of work on my lo3 and i was just wondering if you guys had any input on the hp i'll be making once i'm done.

i'm putting a '95 lt1 cam in with a stock intake and heads but i do have a throttle body spacer about half an inch if that makes any difference, going to be getting a stage 2 chip from tbi chips and then the hooker 2055's

maybe an extra 20 hp?

i would say about 20 HP defenitly not worth the trouble of the cam swap...

Re: just wondering what kinda power?

20-30hp sounds like a fair guess, depending on the condition the 305 is in to begin with. Are you doing the rest of the exhaust too, or leaving the factory exhaust and just putting in a new y-pipe and headers?

Re: just wondering what kinda power?

i'm running a 2.5 inch exhaust until i have the money for an american thunder 3 inch system and the 305 is in really great shape no knocks or noises, doesn't burn any oil or anything. but if something happens to the engine i've got another i'm working on rebuilding.

Re: just wondering what kinda power?

If you've still got the stock 2.5" exhaust, then the headers will do little or nothing for you. Once you get that 3" system on there though, you WILL notice a difference.
