alright, well my idle has gone wacky on me. Sometimes its low and car is stalling out, and sometimes its fine. i boosted the idle to prevent stalling, but then sometimes it will idle at 2k so i had to bring it back down. my iac and tps are new. ive tried adjusting them, and my throttle correctly, but no luck. also, if i put my throttle just about closed (at this point it should be stumbling) it was keeping a 1200 idle at the time. also, i am not getting any check engine lights during all of this. ive checked all my vacuum lines and they are all ok except for one section i dont know anything about. the egr. some1 told me that the egr wont affect my idle but i need some other opinions. if anyone could please post the steps i should take to test my egr. or ANY other ideas about wat could be causing this idle, it would be much appreciated.

 

Have you checked your time, plugs, and plug wires?

 

new wires, plugs ok, and timing should be factory, set it after engine rebuild and ionno why it would suddlenly go out of wack

 

I recently had a similar issue. everything kept checking out ok. but the timing kept going up or down about 1* or so...turned out that I had a bad plug wire. was only firing on 7 cylinders.
