Should I replace the front cover seal (timing cover seal)?

I have been building my engine on a stand and finally put the damper on. I thought it should have gone in further than it did so I pulled the damper back off and measured and found out that it indeed was seated all the way in where it was supposed to.

I had lubed the seal as well as the inside and outside of the damper where it meets the crankshaft as well as the seal. Since I've pulled the damper back off, does anyone think I should go ahead and replace that seal? I didn't think I would need to since it hadn't been run yet, but figured now is the time to ask rather than later and find out that I should have replaced it!

Thanks for the help guys.

Pat
