cylinder head options...
Hey everyone, got a question on what you think the best combo would be. I'm re-rebuilding my 350 with a crane 2050 cam, and leaving the computer and emissions intatct (rebuilt carb, ignition) I don't really want to use the s/r torquers again, and I'm looking at either getting the sdpc upgraded votech combo (link below)

or aluminum edelbrock performers. I already have rockers and pushrods, so i could use them with the edelbrocks. also, do i need different pushrods for the vortech heads?
thanks for any opinions.

You shouldn't need new pushrods, that's usually if you're going flat tappet -> roller, or small to HUGE cam. It's easy to measure and find out at the last minute though, and pushrods are cheap (~$30).
I would go to a vortec style cylinder head over the edelbrock performers if it were me. I would use a performer RPM vortec intake over the standard performer in that kit though.
Crane 2050, 216/228? I'm finding mixed results online here... I think that would work quite nice in a vortec headed 350.

thanks for the info. I thought that was one of the bigger cams you can run with a computer, but i'll look into it more.
