Building my engine tonight

Hey all im building my 350 tpi engine tonight ill be taking pics of it and will be posting them when i am done. Its a 1974 350 block 2 bolt mains, 64cc heads forged pistons and crank from eagle, tpi is from a 1987 camaro, the exhaust manifolds arent here yet so the turbos wont be on but the motor will be built, im going to redo all the wireing so im going to be writing a thread on here on how to do the swap and also im taking all the wires out of the plugs so i can run the wires so they are hidden and make it look really clean. so ill take pics of that too. cant wait to show all the pics and see what you all think of it

Re: Building my engine tonight

HEY EVERYONE SORRY ABOUT TAKING SO LONG BUT HERE IT IS

i started out with a 1974 bare block, i honed it with a nice cross hatch, put cam bearings and freeze plugs in it. painted the block chevy orange. after washing out the whole motor very good with dish soap and warm water. i installed the eagle crankshaft and plastigauged the main caps. Then the connecting rods were pressed into the domes. then the connecting rods were installed onto the crankshaft. the connecting rods are also eagle. the camshaft came from napa in a hi performance rebuild kit. so it was matche to the cam bearings that made a super couple. they slide very nicely. the new cylinder heads where placed on the head studs that i bought from arp. after messing around with them i found how they were ment to go and the cylinder head slide on with no problems. the valve covers were next and added a great touch to the engine. the timing chain and gears were next and those were a simple install.
The TPI. now thats a diffrent story. sisnce i bought it on ebay i didnt know how this all went together. i found a great place for all the bolts for it sisnce it didnt come with any. Its called bolt locker. its an online company and for $53 shipped to my house i got everybolt for an entire tpi engine. i cleaned up the intake manifold and painted it black just to break the orange and chrome of the TPI. i painted the fins on the Tpi upper intake black. the manifold need to have the left side center bolt hole egged shaped for it to fit right on the 350 heads so to the guy that called me a dumb a$$ for asking if this is true. go to hell cause i was right. but other than that it was an easy build. Take it from me i do have some training in engine work and automotive. but if you take your time and go threw the steps the right way you wont have any problems. here are the pics of the engine right now.
