timing issue on 2.8 v6
first of i cant tell you how much help everyone has been on these boards, it is truly a miracle that a guy who doesnt know anything about cars can come on here and learn, what a vast wealth of knowledge here.....
ok on to the problem, got a new distributor and put it in, found tdc and set basic timing to 10 degrees on the balancer, car starts and runs but very rough, advance the timing with the distributor loose all the way til the module hits and cant go no more. the farther i advance it at the distributor the better it runs, but still not smooth enough, do you think i need to advance the timing on the balancer to say 12 or maybe 15 degrees and then tweak it with the distributor or will that throw me farther off?
