Wow! Somebody's been smoking crack. As near as I can tell, that setup looks virtually identical to the stock serpentine setup on 88-92 f-bodies, which you can pick up used all day long on the classifeds here for $100-$200. Even the March brand serpentine setups are too expensive in my opinion, but at least they look nicer than the stock stuff, and they're nowhere near that price. Hey, I just noticed you said it was from GMPP, so now I have no doubt that it's the same setup that came stock on 88-92 GM cars with a V8. If you have that kind of cash to blow, spend it on something better that you really need. Just get a used, stock serpentine setup for a ton cheaper.

Re: Pulley kits

i didn't notice it was the same setup i was just trying to get everything together because new compressor is about 250 and alternator is about 100-125 right there i've got about 375 so if you take into account that i'd still prbably need to get a water pump and power steering pump. or can i reuse my old pumps (water & p.s.)? a used setup would sure cost alot less but i dont know if the parts will be any good.I think i'll look around some more before making any sort of decision .

Re: Pulley kits

Yeah, you'll definitely need a different water pump because the serpentine pumps run in the opposite direction of a standard, v-belt pump (i.e. "reverse rotation"). The power steering pump from a serp. setup would be easier too, since it's a PITA to remove the pulleys and swap them out. The good news is those approximate prices I quoted for a used setup come with most of the accessories nine times outta ten. A lot of times the seller will keep the alternator, since they figure it's worth something, but the rest of the accessories are usually included. Even if the water pump is no good, as long as you got a core, you can exchange it for a rebuilt one for a paltry 25-30 bucks at most parts stores. Just keep an eye out in the classifieds on this site. They come up for sale all the time here.
