Electric fan
ok i hooked my electric fan up to a switch with a in line fuse,and i put a 20 fuse in it and it blows it out.is a 20 big enough?what size is should be ok to run for my fan?

Electric fans need a lot of current. You'd probably looking at a minimum of 40 amps.
Not really the best idea to run it all through the switch either, you'd be better off with a switch and a relay.

thanks that was a quick response,the switch i have is good for up to a 30 so i'll try a 30 in it 1st and if it blows that i'll find another switch good for 40

Apeiron is correct. A relay is a good investment for something drawing that much current

well i put a 30A in it today and it didn't blow it so i should be ok with that.i don't have a 25 to try in it yet,and i live in the country anyway and i run no thermestate anyway so i only turn it on here and there
