In your history section it states that the only way to have a 305 high output motor was to have an iroc-z that was mated with the t-5 manual trans... Well I have an originaly equiped '85 Z28 with a 305 high output 4 barrel, with the 700r-4 mated to it.. it's pretty well loaded i guess, besides the iroc package, it has things i don't usually see on others, like the over head item, map lights, storage stop, etc... an a power drivers seat... blah blah blah... ???? I'm just tryin to get some info, like the hp rating, torque, etc.. suspension an what not.... ive been told 195 for the hp...? a little help please?

 

According to the 1985 Brochure it was only available on IROC. see attached.

 

The 8th digit of the VIN is the engine code. That will tell you if it came with the standard 4-barrel or the HO one.

What is that digit in your VIN? The next character after 1G1AP87?
