Car: 1988 Trans Am

Engine: 305 TPI

Transmission: Auto

Original Specs for 1988 Engine L89 and LB9

Hi everyone,

Is there a site that has very detialed information / specs about a 1988 L98 or LB9 engine. Even as detailed as the rating of the valve springs, etc.

I'm thinking about rebuilding the engine thats why.

This site only shows the spring pressure, not the rate. It has rebuild specs.

Look at getting the Helm manual for a 1988 Trans-Am.
You shouldn't need too much specifics on the L98, since you'll probably be upgrading some parts right? Also, the rest of it is generic to SBC sorta thing.

thanks for the site supervisor42;
and your right sonix i will be replacing some of the parts however i just wanted to know some of the original specs just to compare.

I have a quick question about valve springs but I'll start a different thread for that.
